Hint: You might get better results if you right-click on the movie links and save these files to your computer before viewing, rather than watching the movies in the browser itself. Synoptic MoviesWe have compiled the available browse images into MPEGs with A-B pairs for each of the telescopes. The durations vary by telescope from 1 to 4 weeks, but all are 1024x512 pixels. Sizes range around 3-16 MB. Select year and telescope/wavelength from the sidebar. There are also two large-format (2048x1024) MPEG movies which show the last week in all 10 telescopes on the two spacecraft: COR1/COR2/HI1/HI2 (~85MB) and EUVI-171/195/184/304A (~17MB). These movies are updated daily. Javascript MoviesWe have an interactive tool for you to choose a subset of a given day's browse images for a given telescope and display as a javascript movie. This is appropriate for recent data. You can also see Favorite Solar Events for some selected events in the Javascript movie tool. SECCHI Combined moviesMovies of Note
Please note that all of the SECCHI data is free for public use, but if you use them in presentations, published work, websites, etc, please give the appropriate image credits ("STEREO/SECCHI" will usually suffice). Modified 11/25/13 by NR. |
