Congratulations to Science Fair Winners
Every year a science fair called "Science in Okinawa: Research for Enterprise" is held at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. The team from Nago High School won first prize. 21 teams competed!

Major League Baseball comes to Okinawa!
Dec. 18 - Two MLB all-stars, Rob Wooten of the Brewers and Jerry Blevins of the Washington Nationals, gave a talk for 50 Okinawan students on how persistence and hard work enabled them to achieve their dreams.

April 30 - On a visit to Kumamoto Prefecture, Ambassador Kennedy said, "Today I witnessed first hand the coordinated efforts of civilian and military officials as they continue to respond to the needs of the people affected by the earthquake."
