National Trends: Overall State Rating
The national Overall State rating results show the number of States within each rating. A State’s overall rating is based on eight performance measures and one indicator, except measures with a rating of Insufficient Data.

How to use this report
The map below is updated each month to provide an overview of the quality of safety data reported to FMCSA. The monthly table displays all rating results for a measure-by-measure comparison across all States. Click on a State to see their ratings for each performance measure and indicator.
What to do next
Make sure that you understand the Overall State rating.
