WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is taking a proactive safety approach to protect vehicles from malicious cyber-attacks and unauthorized access by releasing proposed guidance for improving motor vehicle cybersecurity.
Revised 2017 Airline On-Time Reporting Directive Released - The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) today issued a revised annual directive detailing the requirements for the reporting of airline on-time data for calendar year 2017. In 2017, BTS will receive reports from 12 airlines. The previous version of the directive removed ExpressJet Airlines from the list of reporting carriers because its passenger revenue fell short of the mandated minimum.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has ordered a LaGrange, Georgia-based trucking company, Industrial Transit, Inc., USDOT No. 814459, to immediately cease all intrastate and interstate operations after a federal investigation found the company to pose an imminent hazard to public safety.
