Role of OSDBU Field Offices (SBTRCs)
SBTRC Services and Programs
SBTRCs provide an array of technical assistance and support services in an effort to build the capacity of Small and Disadvantaged Businesses, making the businesses more competitive when bidding on federally-funded contracts. In addition to executing the USDOT’s Bonding Education Program, Short Term Lending Program, and Women in Transportation Initiative, SBTRCs provide free business coaching, technical workshops and information on procurement opportunities to Small Businesses and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs).

- Business Analyses and Counseling
- Market Research and Procurement Assistance
- Liaison between Prime Contractors and Sub-Contractors
- Loan and Bond Assistance (STLP and BEP)
- Women In Transportation Initiative (WITI)
- Outreach to Small Businesses, SDBs, WOSBs, VOBs, SDVOSBs, HUB Zone, DBEs
