Audit Initiated of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Consolidated Financial Statements for Fiscal Years 2016 and 2015

Required by the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990

Summary

In accordance with the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990, the Office of Inspector General (OIG) is initiating its audit of FAA’s consolidated financial statements for fiscal years 2016 and 2015. KPMG LLP—an independent auditing firm—will perform the audit, subject to OIG oversight and according to generally accepted Government auditing standards and the Office of Management and Budget’s audit requirements. The audit report is due to OMB by November 15, 2016.
