Test & Evaluation (TE)
Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) Event Testing: The Test & Evaluation department conducts record AIC Event testing, consisting of AIC, Backward Compatibility (BWC), and Network Vulnerability Assessment (NVA), in technically representative architectures from Corps to platform level, within three software baselines, SWB2, SWB 11-12 and COE. Results are analyzed and reported to the Army CIO/G-6 for certification memorandum determination. Once certified, systems are added to the Army baseline by the G-3/5/7 for fielding.
Interoperability Capabilities and Limitations (IC&L): IC&L Assessments are conducted on non-DoDD 5000.1 IT/NSS which have been validated for use by the Army DCS. The IC&L Fact Sheets are provided to the PM and CIO/G6 to document the interoperability capabilities provided by the system for utilization in future AIC testing.
Simulation and Stimulation Verification and Validation: Test & Evaluation conducts verification and validation of simulation/stimulation products. Fact Sheets are provided to the PM and CIO/G6 to provide accreditation for utilization in future AIC Testing.
Interoperability and Integration Event (I2E): Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics, Technology) (ASA(ALT)) in conjunction with the CTSF Test & Evaluation and Engineering Services personnel, support Program Managers in the execution of systems exchanges within a new baseline System of Systems (SoS) environment. Being a collaborative effort, T&E and ES work to ensure that when any issues are identified, they are documented and referred to the PM for analysis.
Interoperability Risk Reduction: The CTSF provides on-site access to the full LandWarNet/Mission Command (LWN/MC) suite of systems. System/Network Engineers provide and maintain tactical architectures, hardware virtualization, host based security system (HBSS) support, and assists in interoperability assessments and AIC rehearsal. Labs, both unclassified and classified, supported by T&E and ES, are available on a non-attribution basis for the solution of information exchange requirements and risk reduction events.
