SGM Angella M. Beckford

SGM Angella M. Beckford is a native of Clarendon, Jamaica. She enlisted in the US. Army in 1997. She attended Basic Combat Training and Advance Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic 63B. She re-classed in May 2009 to 51C. SGM Beckford has served in numerous leadership positions and assignments throughout her military career. She has deployed to Operation Joint Forge, Bosnia-Herzegovina, 99-00; Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2003 and 2006-2007; Operation Endurance freedom, Afghanistan OIF, 2012-2013.
Her duty assignments include Squad Leader, HHD, 61st Area Support Medical battalion (ASMB), Fort Hood, Texas; Service Section Sergeant, 546th Area Support Medical Company, 61st ASMB, Fort Hood, Texas; Motor Sergeant, 546th Area Support Medical Company, 61st ASMB, Fort Hood, Texas; Warrior Leader Course Instructor, Camp Jackson, Korea; Motor Sergeant,57th Military Police Company, camp Carroll, Korea; Platoon Sergeant and Motor Sergeant, 263rd Maintenance Company, 49th Transportation Battalion, Fort Hood Texas; Operations NCOIC, 263rd Maintenance Company,2nd Chemical Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas; Contract Specialist, Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Orlando, Florida; Contracting NCO, 605th Senior Contingency Contracting Team (SCCT), 412 Contracting Support Brigade, Fort Drum, New York; Regional Contracting Center (RCC) NCOIC, RCC Dwyer and RCC Leatherneck, CENTCOM Joint Theater Support Contracting Command, Afghanistan; Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA), Mission Installation Contracting command (MICC), 419th Contracting support Brigade; Fort Drum, New York. SGM Beckford’s Military Education includes: Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Senior Leadership Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, Army Acquisition Basic Course, Army Intermediate Contracting Course, United States Sergeant’s Major Academy Class 65, Battle Staff Course, Master Resilience Training Course, Track Vehicle repair Course, Total Army Instructor training Course and Small Group Instructor Training Course. SGM Beckford is Level 2 DAWIA certified in contracting. SGM Beckford held a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from University of Management and Technology.

Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (6 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Korea Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Driver Badge (Wheel) and Mechanic Badge.
