The following information is provided to assist Commands, TPUs and PSDs understand the placement process of  Temporary Limited Duty (TLD) and Pregnant personnel.

Availabilities should be submitted by the servicing PSD to PERS-454 via encrypted email to TLD-Pregavail@navy.mil

The utilization of E-mail for availability submissions is addressed in MILPERSMAN 1306-1716.

Please submit only ONE availability per e-mail, no attachments please. Avails are filed by subject and saved in an archive.

The detailers, PSD, and the originating command should NOT enter the information into ARIS/EAIS or NSIPS.  TLD/Pregnancy avails will only be processed if received through the TLD-Pregavail@navy.mil address.

All E-3 and below Sailors assigned overseas that require PCS transfer back to CONUS (for TLD and Pregnancy) are to be brought back to the nearest Fleet concentration area.  For assignment purposes, there needs to be a MTF to care for the service member.  If at all possible, they will be assigned in their rate.   Additionally, they will be placed somewhere where, once they are fit, they can return to sea duty.  PCS moves for LIMDU or Pregnancy are to be at minimal or “no cost” to the government.
