Public Affairs fulfills the Army's obligation to keep the American people and the Army informed, and helps to establish the conditions that lead to confidence in America's Army and its readiness to conduct operations in peacetime, conflict and war. The Div-West Public Affairs Office provides division Public Affairs advice, support and products. It conducts traditional PA operations including Command and Public Information, Media and Community Relations to 'tell the Div-West story,' coordinates the division's Unit Public Affairs Representative (UPAR) program, coordinates PA support to Div-West's subordinate brigades as they conduct pre mobilization training and readiness oversight and post mobilization operations, coordinates PA support to mobilized units, and supports First Army PA efforts.
