32d Medical Brigade Commander
Colonel Clint Schreckhise enlisted in the Army in 1984 and served his first assignment with 3/34th Field Artillery at Fort Lewis, Washington. He subsequently received a nomination to the United States Military Academy and received his commission in 1991 as a Second Lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps with a branch detail in the Infantry. He initially served as an Infantry Platoon Leader in B Company, Second Battalion, Fifteenth Infantry Regiment, in Schweinfurt, Germany before transitioning to the Medical Service Corps and the 67th Combat Support Hospital at the completion of his branch detail assignment.
Colonel Schreckhise most recently served as the MEDCOM Deputy Chief of Staff from September 2013 to July 2016 where he also held the duties of Troop Commander and Director of the Special Staff. In these roles, he provided senior leadership and worked closely with the One Staff Directorates on a number of AMEDD initiatives. Prior to assuming the Deputy Chief of Staff position, he served as the Deputy Director, Healthcare Operations, USAMEDCOM. COL Schreckhise’s other significant leadership assignments include Commander, 5th US Army Medical Recruiting Battalion; Deputy Chief of Operations, Surgeon’s Directorate, Third Army, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina; Commander, McAfee United States Army Health Clinic, White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico; Deputy Commander for Administration, United States Army Aeromedical Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama; Operations and Security Officer, and later Chief, Department of Clinical Operations for Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; S-3, Task Force 44, Bagram, Afghanistan (OEF); B Company Commander, 187th Medical Battalion; and Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General, Army Medical Department Center & School and Fort Sam Houston.
Colonel Schreckhise holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University. He is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit, Board Certified in Healthcare Administration, and holds the 9A Proficiency Designator.
His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Army Superior Unit Award, Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the U.S. Army Basic Recruiter
COL Schreckhise and his wife Liz have three sons: Brandon (21), Christian (18), and Dylan (14).
32d Medical Brigade Command Sergeant Major
Command Sergeant Major David Franco completed basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and AIT at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He has served in a variety of positions as a Combat Medic to include Platoon Medic, Senior Company Medic and Platoon Sergeant in the 4/325 Airborne Infantry Regiment and Platoon Sergeant in both the 2/505th Parachute Infantry Regiment and 782nd Main Support Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division FT Bragg, NC; Platoon Sergeant in the 1-506 Infantry Regiment Camp Greaves, Korea; Equal Opportunity Advisor for the North Atlantic Regional Medical Command; First Sergeant for both the Med Troop 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment and Charlie Company, 4th BCT 10th Mountain Division Fort Polk, LA; Operations Sergeant for Heidelberg MEDDAC, Heidelberg, Germany; Support Operations Sergeant Major and Interim Command Sergeant Major for the 421st Multifunctional Medical Battalion Wiesbaden, Germany; Chief Clinical NCO, Landstuhl, Germany; Command Sergeant Major for the 173d Brigade Support Battalion (Airborne) Bamberg Germany: and most recently CSM for 31st Combat Support Hospital FT Bliss, TX and TF 31 MED Bagram Afghanistan/NATO Role IIE NKAIA Afghanistan.
His deployments include Operation Just Cause; Operation Desert Shield; Operation Desert Storm; Hurricane Andrew Relief; Multinational Force and Observers Mission, Sinai Egypt; Operation Iraqi Freedom I; Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-11, Operation Enduring Freedom XIII, and Operation Enduring Freedom XIV-XV.
Command Sergeant Major Franco has a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Maryland University College. His military education includes the Master Fitness Trainer Course, Defense Equal Opportunity Advisor’s Course, Small Group Facilitator’s Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, and all NCOES to include Sergeant Major’s Academy Class 57.
His awards include the Combat Action Badge, Combat Medic Badge (2nd Award), Expert Field Medical Badge, Parachutist badge with combat jump star, Bronze Star Medal (3nd OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4th OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3rd OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2nd OLC), Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), Army Expeditionary Medal (with arrowhead), Humanitarian Service Medal, Korean Defense Medal, Multinational Force and Observer’s Medal, Southwest Asian Service Medal, Saudi Liberation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Ribbon (bronze star), GWOT Service Ribbon, GWOT Expedition Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (5 bronze stars), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Overseas Ribbon (numeral 5) and NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 4), Nato medal, a recipient of the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit and Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.

Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeants
Congratulations on your selection to become an AIT Platoon Sergeant. AIT Platoon Sergeants are charged with bridging the leadership gap between Basic Combat Training and first line supervisors in operational units. As such, AIT PSGs have a critical role in shaping our future Soldiers.
Expectations: As an AIT PSG in the 32d Medical Brigade, your minimum responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead a platoon
- Health and welfare of all Soldiers assigned to your platoon
- Utilize available squad leaders as first line supervisors for squads
- Organization and control of the platoon
- Reinforcement of values, skills, and tasks
- Reinforcement of warrior tasks and battle drills
- Personal, profession, and academic counseling
- Physical Readiness Training
- Hold formations and maintain accountability
- Management of logistical and administrative requirements
- Monitor morale, discipline, and motivation
- Provide guidance and instructions to squad leaders, instructors, and other cadre
- Provide all necessary support to Soldier’s issues (such as finance, personal, legal, professional, etc.)
