Upon arrival to Fort Sam Houston you are to report to AMEDDC&S (Blesse Auditorium) Bldg 2841 for lodging instructions. Blesse Auditorium is located inside AMEDDC&S on the corner of Stanley Road and Hardee Road. A representative from AMEDDC&S MTSS Lodging will be available from 0900 until 1700 to in-process students for lodging. The point of contact for students arriving after 1700 can be reached at (210) 880-8461 or (210) 857-1222. Upon reporting to Fort Sam Houston, you are to report to Candlewood Suites (Bldg 2426), 2800 Winfield Scott Rd, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234, (210) 857-2705. Instructions for the following day`s training will be posted at the front desk of the hotel for all late arrivals. Welcome to the AMEDDC&S! As a newly assigned Soldier you will become familiar with the AMEDDC&S mission and values. You will also be provided with information, knowledge, and training so that you can quickly become a valued member of our organization. |
You will be required to attend mandatory orientation briefings; the AMEDDC&S G-1 will provide further information to you upon your in-processing.
For your Installation in-processing appointment at the Military Personnel Division (MPD) you must ensure you bring all your documents to have your ERB/ORB updated (i.e. DA 638/certificate to update awards, transcripts for civilian education, promotion packet, last evaluation, etc.).
If you are or aspire to be an Instructor, your duty position could require an Associate`s Degree in order to teach at the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC).

As a new employee, please review the in-processing procedures at the Fort Sam Houston Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) website: http://www.samhouston.army.mil/cpac/inprocessing.aspx. This will take you away from this page, so please use the back button to return to this site.
Once you have completed in-processing at the CPAC, please report directly to the AMEDDC&S G-1/Civilian Human Resources Division. We are in Aabel Hall (Bldg 2840) Room 319 located at 3630 Stanley Rd. After that you will will complete your in-processing checklist.
A vital part of in-processing is your attendance at the AMEDDC&S On Boarding Program. The G-1 office will schedule your attendance at that session when you in-process. Attendance is mandatory and is generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (except December). And, of course, your office may require your attendance at their orientation session.
