Performance Measurement

The DON CIO is guiding the development of an information management/information technology performance measurement system that focuses on performance-based outcomes. Execution of a performance measurement system will optimize the value of IM/IT investments. It will ensure that the methods of identifying, collecting and analyzing data will lead to quantifiable measures of success. This effort is aligning programs within the DON CIO, ensuring that they are non-duplicative, comprehensive and link to the DON IM/IT Strategic Plan. The DON CIO is identifying and leveraging the performance measurement best practices of DoD components, other federal agencies, academia and industry to develop enterprise-level metrics.
