On 11 October, 2016, Commander Gregory Malandrino, USN, relieved Commander Rafe Wysham, USN, as Commanding Officer of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO TWO (VFA-102).  The “Diamondbacks” of VFA-102 are a forward-deployed strike fighter squadron operating 13 FA-18F Super Hornets and are attached to Carrier Air Wing FIVE based at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan.  The squadron is currently embarked aboard USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76).  We congratulate Commander Malandrino on this superb accomplishment and wish Commander Wysham fair winds and following seas.  Welcome aboard to Commander Barrett Smith, USN, the incoming Executive Officer. If you live off base you (or your spouse) are encouraged to take the Overseas Housing Allowance (OHA) Survey. Survey inputs provide DIRECT IMPACT to Utility/Recurring Maintenance and Move-In Housing Allowances, and enable DoD to set equitable OHA rates. If you receive overseas housing allowance, have been in country at least 3 months, and reside in privately leased quarters as a lessee, please take a few minutes and provide feedback.
