Base Safety

The Safety Program’s mission is to enable and enhance the Navy’s combat power by providing a safer working environment for our Sailors, civilians, contractors, and families through the most cost-effective and efficient shore safety services and support. The safety program enables Base Operating Support (BOS) to fleet, fighter and family by providing general Safety and Occupational Health (SOH), Explosives Safety, Traffic Safety and Recreational Off-Duty Safety (RODS) services to all CNIC installations, including all CNIC personnel and participating personnel assigned to tenant commands of these installations receiving BOS Safety services. CNIC HQ Safety is responsible for directing, managing, coordinating, and assessing the implementation of the respective CNIC SOH, Explosives Safety, Traffic Safety and RODS programs.
