The 45th Space Wing supported the SpaceX Falcon 9 JCSAT-16 launch Aug. 14, 2016, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The Aedes Aegypi mosquito is one of two found in tropical climate countries which is capable of carrying the Zika virus. It is not native to the U.S. but has been found in 12 of California’s 58 counties. The mosquitoes are transported into this country by visitors and residents.
