Welcome to UNT Dallas and the Office of Academic Affairs.  UNT Dallas is committed to academic excellence and student success and the Office of Academic Affairs is committed to providing a university environment defined by teaching excellence and academic achievement.

Dear Students,

I have worked at a variety of institutions from coast to coast.  I can proudly say that this is the finest faculty I have had the opportunity to serve.  UNTD professors are dedicated to your success in college and beyond. Your faculty will seduce you into the life of the mind, a gift that keeps on giving.  The staff are on a mission to provide you with the best support possible – academic, social, and well-being.  We are a relentless ally in helping students seize a world of new and meaningful opportunities.

UNTD is determined to become a cutting edge institution in terms of experiential education and career services while we uphold high standards of academic excellence.  And, we are working to improve the community we serve through research and service learning.

University education is a time of great transition.  In sociology this is known as being in a “liminal state,” shedding one personality and status for another. As life becomes more hectic, experiences more varied, and the number of careers in a lifetime is increasing, we are experiencing a great deal of transition in all our lives.  UNTD embraces this change and will always be in a state of liminality.  You as students and we as faculty and staff are changing together.  THAT is exciting!

Dr. Becker began her tenure at UNTD in August 2013. She is responsible for the main mission of the institution, including teaching, research and professional service as carried out by UNTD's programs and services.  The Provost handles budget allocations for the schools, colleges, library and academic support areas, and provides leadership in the development and supervision of programs, including changes in curriculum, degree programs, and organization, in conjunction with the deans and representatives of the faculty.  She provides leadership in the implementation of effective planning in academic affairs, ensures leadership and excellence in academic degree programs and support units.  Dr. Becker represents the academic interest of the university in off-campus activities as designated by the President and acts for the President in his absence.
