Divers Compete At NCAA Zones




AUSTIN, Texas- Three North Texas divers competed in the NCAA Zone D Diving Meet, the most to compete in the event in school history. Delia Covo led North Texas in both the three-meter and one-meter competition, posting a 218.95 and a 229.20 in the competitions, respectively.

North Texas had divers competing in the event for the first time since 2003. In the three-meter, Covo finished 35th with a 218.95, and led all finishers for North Texas. Catherine Johnson finished in 38th in the three-meter with a score of 203.10. Mary Beth Geeze finished 40th with a score of 198.45 on the three-meter springboard.

Delia Covo finished 28th on the one-meter board, followed closely behind by Mary Beth Geeze, who finished 34th with a 219.75 and Catherine Johnson, who posted a 218.50 and finished 36th. Covo just finished only 20 points away from making the final round.
