DENTON - While snow may be falling in Denton, the North Texas basketball team has been hot in the gym. The Mean Green carries a five-game win streak into Saturday's senior day matchup with Old Dominion, set for 4:30 p.m. from the Super Pit.
The team's recent success has been due in no small part to the stellar play of the Mean Green's four seniors.
Colin Voss has been perhaps the biggest motor for the team of late. In Thursday's contest against Charlotte, the Grand Rapids, Mi., native dished out four assists to become the eighth North Texas forward to ever post 50 assists in a season. The big man's skill isn't limited to his passing abilities either. Voss posted career-highs in scoring (22 points), rebounding (13 boards) and assists (6) in games against Florida Atlantic and FIU last week, and he has made 19 consecutive free throws over the last five games.

Jordan Williams was an all-around force during his first three seasons at North Texas, and his senior year has been no different. Williams is looking to become just the third Mean Green player to lead his team in points, assists and steals in a season, an achievement that hasn't occurred since Chris Davis accomplished the feat in 2001. The Dallas native is currently ninth on the program's career scoring charts, and with 423 points this season he is looking to become the fifth North Texas player in the last 20 years to notch 500 points in a season.
Guard
T.J. Taylor has been a steady contributor for a resurgent Mean Green hoops team. The Denison, Texas, native is averaging 8.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest this year. Additionally, Taylor ranks among Conference USA's leaders in free throw percentage, going 74.4 percent from the charity stripe.
Armani Flannigan rounds out a group that will be playing their last home game for the Mean Green on Saturday. Flannigan - a native of Rockford, Ill. - has provided a strong presence in the paint during his time on the court. The senior is shooting 64.9 percent from the field over his last ten games as North Texas has put together a 7-3 record.
The weather in Denton has forced closures throughout the week, but Saturday's senior day contest will take place no matter what the weekend forecast brings to North Texas.
