Your bus route may have changed

Some campus bus routes have changed because of the construction on the North Texas Boulevard bridge, officials said.

The Sam Bass and Centre Place East and West routes will stop at the south side of the Highland Street Garage on Maple Street. These routes normally stop at Kerr Hall and the Business Leadership Building.

Officials do not expect other bus routes to shift, but the Denton County Transit Authority said it will notify students and other passengers if plans change.

The bridge was demolished Friday as part of the Interstate 35 Express widening project.

Denton residents and UNT commuters assume the bridge’s closure will clog traffic around the I-35 entrance to campus. Multiple high school graduation ceremonies will follow UNT’s own commencement ceremonies, which attract thousands of family members to campus.

The DCTA said it will monitor traffic flow and make adjustments if problems arise. Visit www.RideDCTA.net for more information.
