Glaring bug in 10.0.6 still not fixed in 10.0.7

Version 10.0.6 of FCP X introduced a bug that caused certain 3rd party plug-ins, like from NeatVideo and Pomfort, to corrupt frames of video when rendering, making these plug-ins unusable. They had the opportunity to fix this with 10.0.7, but evidently they did not. Now who knows when this will be fixed. As someone who relies on these plug-ins, this pretty much shelves any personal projects from being completed till this gets addressed. Introducing bugs that are then not fixed with the next version is unconscionable. What was once a 5 star app is now barely a 2 star app to me now. Please fix this for 10.0.8.

10.0.7 "Modified File" error… and other bugs… Not reliable.

Upgraded to 10.0.7 and suddenly none of my media plays in the application. It's all listed as "modified." When I attempt to re-link (control-clicking to go to "reveal in finder" takes me directly to the source file) - the re-links don't "stick". I didn't move anything - and all the files reside in the FCP event.

I'm also experiencing the render errors with 3rd-party plugins that another reviewer mentioned.

Combine this with the useless export of the proprietary "FCPXML" flavor of XML - not even readable by Logic - Apple's own - and this is a pretty compelling argument for Adobe Creative Suite.

I delayed the FCP7 to FCPX switch as long as possible, because of the initial negative reaction. I love the new workflow. I love the reliance on metadata and the way it lets me navigate material. BUT - the one thing you need from professional editing software is reliability. This is not reliable software. When the bugs go from quirky to catastrophic, it's time to switch to something else.

Crashes on Mac Book Pro

Definately try the free download of the software before buying it. I think there are so many problems with compatibility that Apple finally offered a free trial to eliminate the amount of complaints from people that have issues with this product. Do youself a favor and download and try the free version before shelling out your cash. I'm stuck with a $300 piece of software that keeps crashing right now. It seems that I've sacrificed for others. UPDATE: It still crashes. Check the compatibility of your graphics card before purchasing. This program should work like iMovie or at least allow to adjust software settings to fit the graphics card installed on your computer. $300 dollars MIA. :( Just stick with iMovie. If that's not powerful enough to Adobe's suite for movie editing.
