JAMESTOWN SETTLEMENT & YORKTOWN VICTORY CENTER OPEN
Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center, state-operated living-history museums, are unaffected by the federal government shutdown and are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors should travel to Jamestown Settlement via Route 31 (Jamestown Road) during the temporary closure of a section of the Colonial Parkway.
History is an adventure at Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center. Experience the story of America’s beginnings – from the founding of America’s first permanent English colony in 1607 to the Revolution and the establishment of a new nation almost two centuries later. Explore the museums’ exhibition galleries and learn about life in the 17th and 18th centuries in the outdoor living-history areas. Download the museum brochure.
How can one day of fun last an entire year? With the “Buy One Day, Get An Entire Year” offer, Virginia residents can purchase an American Heritage Annual Pass to Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center for the cost of a single-day ticket.
Over the next few years, the Yorktown Victory Center will be transformed into the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown with a reconfigured site plan, a new facility featuring expanded, vibrant gallery exhibits, and enhanced interpretive programming at the outdoor Continental Army encampment and Revolution-period farm.
Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center museums are available to rent as unique venues for receptions, banquets, weddings, and children’s birthday parties.
