Transfer Now

You’ve reached an important point in your college life. It’s time to cross over from where you are to where you want to be. UNT is here to help you every step of the way.

How to transfer

We're here to help you

Transfer Counselors guide you every step of the way. They’ll help you learn what courses will transfer and assist you through the transfer process.

Credits transfer easily from community colleges or other universities because we participate in the Texas Common Course Numbering System. UNT’s Transfer Guides include a four-year plan to help you stay on track and graduate on time. UNT's u.select server allows you to set up a personal account to list and evaluate courses you have completed or plan to complete. Transferring here couldn’t be easier and we will help you succeed.

Academics

There’s no limit to your opportunities here

Most of our 97 bachelor’s degrees can lead into a master’s program in the same field at UNT. You can transfer once and be set. If you are unsure about your major, don’t worry. We have professional academic advisors who specialize in working with students who are undecided or undeclared.

Cost

We worry about the cost of college too

UNT has been named one of America's 100 Best College Buys® for 18 consecutive years, and we offer many options to help you pay for your college education.

Optimum value means UNT offers the most affordable research university education in the state, according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Plus, you can fast track your degree by taking 15 credit hours per semester for about the same in tuition/fees as you would for 12 credit hours.

Take a tour

Come see for yourself

The best way to see how UNT provides a green light to greatness is to take a student-guided tour.

Each week, we offer transfer tours which are led by students who transferred to UNT. Who better to answer your questions than someone who has been there, done that? These tours last about 90 minutes and focus on transfer student needs.
