- OFFICIAL UPDATE: A City of Denton water main break has affected water service to Bruce Hall, the Life Sciences Building, Sage Hall and the Hurley Administration Building. A City of Denton crew is working on repairing the break. Water is expected to be restored later today.

- IT'S FLASHBACK FRIDAY: Today marks the beginning of Movember, when many people grow mustaches to raise awareness of prostate cancer. To commemorate that, we went back to 1974, the glory days of the mustache, for these magnificently mustachioed students.
- HOLLYWOOD AT UNT: There's a UNT connection to the new movie, "Dallas Buyers Club," which opens Nov. 1 and stars Matthew McConaughey as Dallas AIDS activist Ron Woodruff. Producers of the film accessed the UNT Libraries' rare book archives when researching the story.

The We Mean Green Fund gives UNT students the opportunity to propose sustainability initiatives that are funded by the program. The fund has given financial support for green projects like electric vehicle stations, a bike sharing program, a dye garden, tree plantings and much more, many suggested by students.- It's Halloween week! - Atmos Energy crews successfully capped the gas line leak at Avenue C and Highland Street last night and all buildings will be open today.
Due to the construction, Avenue C will remain closed between Maple Street and Highland Street. Highland Street will remain closed to through traffic but access will be available to Lots 26 and 27. Other traffic in the area may be affected as well. University of North Texas

HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT: UNT Biology Professor Stevens Brumbley has created sugarcane plants that grow non-toxic, biodegradable plastic.
