UNT System Chancellor

Lee Jackson is Chancellor of the University of North Texas System (UNTS). He was appointed to the position on September 1, 2002, after three decades of service in government in Dallas and the State of Texas. He is responsible for policy direction, planning, and oversight of the University of North Texas (Denton), the UNT Health Science Center (Fort Worth), the UNT Dallas campus (the future UNT Dallas), and many other system initiatives. Vice Chancellor Facilities Planning and Contruction

The Vice Chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction is responsible for managing campus master planning and major construction for all of the University of North Texas (UNT) System campuses. The Vice Chancellor is also responsible for all land acquisition as well as mineral leases.

Vice Chancellor General Counsel

Nancy S. Footer has been Vice Chancellor and General Counsel since March 2004. Previously, Ms. Footer was General Counsel for Bowling Green State University, where she also served as an adjunct faculty member in the College of Education and Human Development teaching higher education law. Vice Chancellor Government Relations

Since 2002 Mr. Morton has served as Vice Chancellor for Government Relations managing all governmental affairs for the UNTS and its institutions. From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Morton served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Legal and Public Affairs for the Texas State University System with emphasis on legislative affairs in addition to handling specific legal duties on behalf of the system’s institutions. Assistant to the Chancellor
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Chancellor's Office and provides senior administrative support to the Chancellor. Assists with special projects, personnel matters, and requests from the Board of Regents. Oversees operating budget and records management. Handles information requests from the public and UNT System component institutions.
