Emergency Phones

The University of North Texas Police Department has strategically installed over 60 Emergency Phones throughout the campus, with more to be added in the future. Emergency Phones are identified by a green pole, blue strobe light and the word "EMERGENCY" stenciled on three sides. They have a touch button with a direct link to police dispatchers.  Phones may be used to:

  • Report a crime in progress
  • Report suspicious activity or persons
  • Get directions if you are lost
  • Get help if your vehicle is broken down

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the locations of these phones. Specific phone locations can be seen on campus parking maps available at the UNT Parking and Transportation website.

Individuals with hearing impairments should dial (800) RELAY TX (TTY).
