Mission

Allergy, Asthma & Immunology -- A division of the Department of Pediatrics
Vision
The Department of Pediatrics recognizes the need to continuously improve our: education programs, patient health, research outcomes, the costs to achieve these outcomes, and the perceptions about the quality and value of our services. The UNTHSC Department of Pediatrics is committed to the training of all students in pediatric medicine.
 
Department Mission
The Department of Pediatrics supports and enhances the mission of the institution by maintaining and providing the highest quality of instruction in pediatric health care. It supports a committed staff that strives to attain recognition and respect for outstanding pediatric health care in the community. The departmental staff promotes and engages in relevant basic and applied pediatric research providing significant contributions to the osteopathic medical profession. It serves as an advocate for infants, children, and adolescents and their families in important matters pertaining to health care.
