Opportunities for Students

Would you like to get a head start on your career and gain hands-on experience while you’re still in school? NNSA offers a variety of opportunities for highly motivated students to earn a salary while continuing their studies.

You will have challenging work assignments in a fast-paced dynamic environment while expanding your academic and technical skills. You will work side-by-side with a diverse group of professionals to support our agency’s mission. 
 
NNSA’s Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) and Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) are open to students at levels from high school through post-graduate levels, including vocational and technical schools.  The Minority Serving Institution (MSI) Internship Program is available to students who currently attend a participating MSI .  In addition, NNSA provides opportunities for Hispanic high school through post-graduate students.

Each program is open to students pursuing degrees in a variety of disciplines.  It is our hope these opportunities will lead students to consider careers in public service.
