Graphic The Data Analysis Reporting Team (DART) tool is an internal FMCSA system that is used to manage and track the receipt and response to data requests received from the field (FMCSA & State MCSAP); FMCSA headquarter staff, and other areas of the US Government. This report provides a summary of DART activities for FY 2010 including request priority, originating office, and data categories for requests. The report also includes an overview of FY11 planned activities of the DART program.

Graphic This report presents findings from the National Truck Fleet and Bus Fleet Safety Surveys, conducted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) during the summer and fall of 2003. In the two studies, nontargeted (random) inspections were used to estimate driver and vehicle out-of-service (OOS) rates for both buses and large trucks regulated by FMCSA, based on Level 1 (i.e., full driver and vehicle) inspections.

Graphic A description of both the methodology and findings from the 1996 National Fleet Safety Survey, conducted by FMCSA in conjunction with RSPA of the DOT. In this study, data were collected from over 10,000 random Level I truck inspections and were used to estimate overall, driver-specific, and vehicle-specific out-of-service (OOS) rates for the general population of commercial vehicles on the road and for the subpopulation of commercial vehicles carrying hazardous materials (HM).
