Sponsored Projects

The NERRS Science Collaborative awards approximately $4 million annually to collaborative projects that address a coastal management problem that has been identified as a priority for a Reserve and relate to one of the following issues: impacts of land use change, habitat change and restoration, and the management of stormwater and nonpoint source pollution—all in the context of a changing climate.

We began funding projects in the fall of 2010. You can browse projects by selecting the "project homepage" link on the list below or by using the map. Or, you can download a list of all of our active projects.

We are committed to sharing the good ideas and lessons learned from these projects around the NERRS in the most effective way we can. Science Collaborative project teams submit semiannual reports on the progress of their work on March 1 and September 1. If you are interested in tracking the progress of a particular project, select the“progress report” link or contact a member of the project team or of the Science Collaborative.
