  1. I'm a new member - how do I best use this site?
    New members can look at the "Getting Started" webpage for more information about how to navigate and use the features of ExchangesConnect.

  2. How can I travel to the United States?
    For information on travel visas to the United States, refer to travel.state.gov. If you are interested in studying in the United States, you should take a look at EducationUSA, which can link you up with an advising center near you. USA.gov also has good resources for those interested in traveling to, working in, or studying in the USA.
  3. How can I find more information about exchange programs to and from the United States?
    There are a number of Department of State-sponsored opportunities that you may be eligible for that are located on the official website of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Exchanges.state.gov. Use the program search tool on Exchanges to find a program that is best suited to your needs.

    If you live outside of the United States, you may want to contact your Regional Educational Advisor to help you identify undergraduate and graduate study abroad opportunities that may be applicable to you. Lastly, you should also contact the U.S. Embassy in your home country to see if they know of any additional programs or opportunities to which you may be able to apply.

  4. How can I find resources on learning English?
    The Office of English Language Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs creates and implements English-language programs in specific regions and countries of the world. Browse their website for more information about their programs.

  5. What is the official U.S. policy on X issue?
