The NSAT group capitalizes on the combination of expertise with the front end of the nuclear weapons cycle, cutting edge science and technology, and one-of-a-kind laboratory and test facilities to provide a unique technical resource to the U.S. and International nonproliferation communities supporting the following critical needs:

  • Development and deployment of new tools, techniques, and methods that can be applied to detect, monitor, deter and reverse proliferation of nuclear weapons technologies in support of nonproliferation policy, monitoring, and operations activities.
  • Analysis and evaluation of technical issues associated with the proliferation of nuclear weapons technologies, equipment, and materials, including monitoring of emerging, over-the-horizon technical issues.
  • Real-time assessment and evaluations of proliferation risks and threats posed by various nation-states as well as non-state actors.
  • Evaluations, modeling, and simulations of “at-risk” technologies and applications
