The Mission
 
The mission of the USMA SCUBA Team is to afford cadets and military personnel the opportunity to become National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) certified SCUBA divers. This certification as well as other diving trips conducted by the Team allows individuals to enjoy the sport of recreational SCUBA diving.  Additionally, those cadets who have completed the DPE SCUBA curriculum and have a NAUI referral can complete their SCUBA certification through the SCUBA Team.  While the Team only takes on four to five cadet members each year, SCUBA certification classes are open to the USCC and West Point community.  The SCUBA Team challenges and develops those cadet members in many of the military leader aspects as they plan, coordinate and execute safe diving activities and trip sections.
