Level Two Commodities training provides the knowledge base to assist team members preparing for the conversion of Ice and Water Teams to Commodities Teams and National Ice and Water Teams. The course describes the difference in how teams operate as Commodities Teams and National Teams versus the previous independent Ice and Water Teams. The course also describes pre-staging at the Mobilization Center, post-declaration mission assignments, moving commodities to the OSA and LSA, and off-loading at the distribution sites. This awareness training is designed to be task-specific for individuals and teams, as well as provide the knowledge base for exercises and live workshops for military contingency or civil disaster-related response environments.
