Five Offices, One AQD

  • Herndon, Virginia – Acquisition Division

    Herndon, Virginia

    Acquisition Division

AQD-Herndon has extensive experience in a wide range of competencies including professional services and information technology.

Herndon is the third largest town in the Commonwealth of Virginia and home to 23,000 residents. Against a backdrop of 21st century Northern Virginia high-rise buildings, blending natural landscapes with industrial complexes and transportation hubs, Herndon maintains a small town charm that is evident in its downtown, its neighborhoods, and its business districts.
  • Anchorage, Alaska

    Anchorage, Alaska

    Aviation Regional Office

AQD-Anchorage is a satellite office, located in the Aviation Management Regional Office of the Boise Aviation Acquisition Branch.

Anchorage was incorporated November 23, 1920. Unlike every other large town in Alaska, south of the Brooks Range, Anchorage was neither a fishing area nor a mining camp. Within a ten-mile radius of Anchorage, land is barren and devoid of significant metal minerals. In 1914, the city grew from its proximity to and choice as the site of a railroad construction port for the Alaska Railroad.
  • Boise, Idaho – Aviation Acquisition Branch

    Boise, Idaho

    Aviation Acquisition Branch

AQD-Boise maintains close affiliation with IBC's Aviation Management Division to support aviation and wildfire-related missions. The branch has a field office in Anchorage for on-call helicopter use by bureaus and arranges for the sale and disposal of aircraft and aircraft parts.

Boise is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of the northern Rockies region and is among the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. At the same time, the city has maintained a high quality of life through cooperation between business, government, and citizens. An easy blending of historic structures and modern buildings in the downtown district is testament to efforts by city officials to maintain Western heritage while evolving in modern times.
  • Denver, Colorado

    Denver, Colorado

    Acquisition Branch Office

AQD-Denver provides internal support to Department of the Interior with core competencies in information technology and special expertise in energy and conservation programs.

Denver is one of only two cities in America with eight professional sports teams. Founded in November 1858, Denver City was a mining town during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush in western Kansas Territory. Neighborhoods vary significantly in character from each other, ranging from large skyscrapers downtown to modern, suburban style developments in the suburbs.
  • Sierra Vista, Arizona

    Sierra Vista, Arizona

    Acquisition Division

AQD-Sierra Vista is located downtown, providing our organization close ties with the U.S. Army at Ft. Huachuca, and a strong research and development division. Employees at the Sierra Vista division have a broad range of experience and knowledge of Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy mandates.

Located 75 miles southeast of Tucson, Sierra Vista (Spanish for Mountain View) is a thriving community of approximately 45,000 people and serves as the main commercial, cultural, and recreational hub of Cochise County. At an elevation of 4,600 feet, Sierra Vista not only boasts magnificent mountain views, but also a temperate year-round climate, abundant sunshine, and clean, fresh air.
