Fort Gordon Military Personnel Services Division

The Adjutant General Office of Military Personnel Services Division manages the full range of military personnel support for the installation.

Our goals are to provide quality military personnel support to all Soldiers, retirees, and family members; automate whenever possible to increase efficiency; maintain readiness of all units through proper utilization of assets; and to ensure eligibility of all soldiers identified to deploy.

Mobilization & Soldier Readiness Processing

Mobilization Processing is done in Room 102 of the Soldier Service Center (Darling Hall).

Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday, 0730 - 1600 hours (except Federal Holidays).

Telephone numbers: 706-791-6830 or 791-6830; DSN prefix 780

MPD Mobilization and Soldier Readiness ProcessingProcessing functions involve the notification to Soldiers of reassignment to another permanent duty station, verification of assignment eligibility, preparation of permanent change of station (PCS) and family travel orders, and processing of deletion and deferment action by commanders. Responsibilities also include personnel manning for officer assignments, enlisted assignments, and unit readiness, review of HQDA manning targets, requisitions for special skills, processing of incoming installation permanent party gains to units, assignment verification during in processing, unit readiness reporting for personnel (NetUnit Status Reporting for FORSCOM and TRADOC units), classifications, and special duty pay for permanent party personnel.

Soldiers must come to the MPD to pick up the Installation In-processing Checklist. The sponsor is responsible for escorting the new arrival to the various agencies for in-processing. When reporting to MPD, the Soldier should bring a duty position memorandum, permanent-change-of-station orders, military personnel file, medical, dental, and education records.

Reassignment Processing

Soldiers being reassigned to other installations must attend a mandatory reassignment briefing coordinated by the Reassignment Section. During that time, the process is explained, and representatives from each agency involved in assisting Soldiers in relocating (i.e. ACS, Transportation, Legal, TriCare, Medical) will present a briefing.

Out Processing

The MPD also manages the out processing of Soldiers as they are PCSing or separating from services.

Note: All MPD services are provided by appointment with the exception of In-processing and ID card services:
