216th Operations Support Squadron

The primary mission of the 216th Operations Support Sq (OSS) is to organize, train and equip space, intelligence and communications professionals who provide operational support functions for the Joint Space Operations Center to include: Operations training, Standardization/evaluation, Instruction and certification, Development of weapon system tactics, techniques and procedures, Development and deployment support for evolving space missions, and Operations surge or exercise support.

<p>It takes a sharp mind and keen eye for detail to spot a hidden terrorist ambush from a satellite image, but that's just what you'll be capable of as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst. As the eyes of the intelligence community, you'll analyze intelligence imagery from satellites, remotely piloted vehicles, and other sources in order to discern the innocuous from the dangerous. This information is a vital component in developing a strategy for a unit's next move. You will be responsible for covertly retrieving intelligence and disseminating it to the proper authorities in support of the military's mission. A career in Intelligence requires a security clearance, as you'll be gathering and evaluating highly sensitive intelligence information.
