                                                       Colonel Charles D. Bradley, United States Army
                                                              Career Biography as of May 2012

COL Charles D. Bradley was born on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 9 June 1965.  After receiving his commission from University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Reserve Officer Training Corps Program as a Distinguished Military Graduate in May 1987, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Colorado College in June 1987.  He earned a Master of Aeronautical Science Degree with specialization in Aerospace Management, and Aerospace Safety Systems from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in May 2000.  In 2010, he earned his Masters of Strategic Studies from the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

 COL Bradley’s military education and training include; the Army Medical Department Officer Basic Course, the Rotary Wing Aviator’s Course, the UH-60 Aviator Qualification Course, the Army Medical Department Advanced Course, the United States Army Aviation Safety Officer Course, the United States Air Force Aerospace Physiology Course, the Combined Arms Staff School, the Army Command and General Staff College and the Air War College.

 As the Commander of Task Force Apache in Combined Task Force Currahee, Regional Command – East from March 2008 to March 2009, he led and provided signal, intelligence, engineer route clearance and unmanned aerial vehicle enablers to 16 Battalion sized Task Forces in five Provinces.  As maneuver commander successfully led TF Apache in their execution of counter-insurgency operations and development efforts with the Czech Republic Provincial Reconstruction Team, US Air Force Joint Tactical Air Controllers, Navy Sea Bee Construction Unit, Army and Air Force Explosive Ordnance Detachments, and Electronic Warfare Teams in Logar Province, Afghanistan. 

 COL Bradley’s awards and decorations include; the Bronze Star Medal (with Oak Leaf cluster), the Defense Meritorious Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (with five Oak Leaf clusters), the Air Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (with two Oak Leaf clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (with two Oak Leaf clusters), the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Meritorious Unit Commendation (with two Oak Leaf clusters), the Army Superior Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal (with Bronze Star), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with Bronze Star), the Iraqi Campaign Medal (with 2 Bronze Stars), the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with Bronze Hourglass), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Ribbon (with numeral 5), Combat Action Badge, the Expert Field Medical Badge, the Senior Army Aviator Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Army Staff Identification Badge and the Bronze German Armed Forces Badge and the German Parachutist badge.  He is also a recipient of the Order of Saint Michael Bronze Medal.

 COL Bradley is a member of the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), the Dedicated Unhesitating Support to Our Fighting Forces (DUSTOFF) Association, the 101st Airborne Association and is a Distinguish Member of the 506th Infantry Regiment (DMOR).

 COL Bradley is married to the former Mary Elizabeth Easton of Pueblo, Colorado.  They have two sons, Charles (22) and Michael (20).
