Rigorous Studies address high priority issues that need testing to establish the effects of proposed policies, programs, or practices on academic achievement and other related regional needs. The questions selected for rigorous studies are well defined and relate to the high-priority issues in the region. These studies are designed to provide causally valid answers and must meet IES standards for field tests based on experimental designs.
