ANNOUNCEMENTS

Flu Vaccines
The flu vaccine is still available for beneficiaries.

Pertussis Booster
All Army need a Pertussis Booster by mid-February. If you are unsure of your status, please contact the clinic or your unit's MEDPROS representative.

Upcoming Closures
Feb. 15-18 (Training Holiday/President's Day)

Why Do I Need a Flu Vaccine Every Year?
A flu vaccine is needed every year because flu viruses are constantly changing. It's not unusual for new flu viruses to appear each year. The flu vaccine is formulated each year to keep up with the flu viruses as they change.
Also, multiple studies conducted over different seasons and across vaccine types and influenza virus subtypes have shown that the body's immunity to influenza viruses (acquired either through natural infection or vaccination) declines over time.
Getting vaccinated each year provides the best protection against influenza throughout flu season.

Secure Messaging

Your Health Clinic is introducing Secure Messaging, a way for patients to communicate with us at the clinic and vice versa, securely with no risk of privacy loss.

To register, Secure Messaging

To Use: After you initially register, simply go to the above link and login. Please allow up to 3 business days for reponses.

To Register : Each patient (over 18 years of age) has to register for their own account at the address above. Choose the "Register" option, then the "As a Patient" option. Use an e-mail address that you check often, preferably a civilian email address so you have access at home or on your Smartphone.

Fill in the required information and start the "setup Wizard". Search for Germano at zip 09613 and/or Phillips at zip 09613. We will then get a message to approve you and when we do approve you, you will be notified.

Any messages you send will come to a general inbox that the clinical team will then deal with. The timeframe for answering is up to 3 working days, but hopefully shorter. Please be patient with us as we get our processes going, don't except the first couple of weeks to generate rapid answers as it will take a bit of time to perfect. Continue to use the telephone or visits if your question is time sensitive.

We think this will significantly enhance our ability to communicate with each other and make healthcare more accessible and easier by saving you the hassle of an appointment for something small and by allowing us to communicate important messages and follow-ups to you.

It will only help though if large numbers of our patients signup so register today! In the future, this is be the only means of electronic communication as we will stop being able to accept traditional e-mail.
