Housing, Off-Post

Off-post rentals are very "western style" with 1.5 to 2 full baths, combination living/dining areas, bedrooms, and minimal storage. Most of the rentals are low-rise (3 stories) and typically have minimal parking. The units have 110 voltages and are equipped with air conditioning.

Off-post rentals do not have central heating and air, but have Korean style heated floors and single air conditioning units.  Some come fully-partially furnished, mostly without washer and dryers, which can be purchased from the AAFES Exchange or local market. 

It is important that you carefully inspect private sector housing upon move in.  This is also the time to discuss with your landlord/realtor any questions regarding operating appliances, (i.e., heaters, air-conditions, stoves, dishwashers etc.)  Since many of these appliances are written in Korean (Hangul) ask your landlord/realtor to label them for you in English.  This will eliminate having to make unnecessary calls for translations.

All eligible Active Duty Soldiers: Must inprocess at the Housing Office to receive the correct briefing on eligibility and entitlements and determine if off post is authorized.

Please visit the Housing Office and pick up an off-post housing package.
* - Services and support is very limited to Invited Contractors.

The housing office has an approved list of Korean Property Managers that will help you locate your off-post home.
