159th Fighter Wing

The Air National Guard's premier F-15 Unit, the 159th Fighter Wing, nicknamed "The Bayou Militia," is operationally gained and supported by the Air Combat Command. This trained force of more than 1500 men and women has proudly served the United States in almost every conflict in America's history. The 159th Fighter Wing is an Air National Guard fighter unit located at NAS New Orleans, Louisiana. The 159th Fighter Wing, along with its operational flying unit, the 122nd Fighter Squadron, is tasked with providing air superiority over Louisiana and the Gulf Coast while supporting USNORTHCOM and NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command).

Aerospace Medical Service Specialists are a medical "jack of all trades", performing a wide range of technical nursing duties, from drawing blood to assisting in delivering newborn babies. In this job, you'll be directly involved in the care and treatment of patients, including feeding, measuring and recording vital signs, administering medications, and prepping patients for surgery. <p>Maintaining a secure chain of communication from one base to another is vital to the operations of the Air National Guard. During a natural disaster or on a war-time mission, there's no time to waste with communications systems that are anything less than perfect. Cable and Antenna Systems Specialists ensure that these connections are clear, unbroken and secure at all times, all over the world. In this job you'll manage the flow of air traffic on the ground and in 50,000 square miles of air space.
