The COPS Resource Information Center (RIC) or COPS library is a great source of information about many aspects of community policing. Subject matter experts within the federal government, academics, and law enforcement leaders offer free publications on topics ranging from bullying in schools to computer mapping.
You can order RIC publications and CDs by calling the COPS Response Center at 1-800-421-6770 or by using the COPS Publications Request Form. Publications are free and mailed free of charge. Many documents can also be read online or downloaded.
The Congressional resources page gives access to COPS appropriations, budgets and similar matters, while the FOIA page describes how to use the Freedom of Information Act to get information about the COPS office and its activities.
