Tools
The tools and strategies available for use in the implementation of integration are increasing. An insight into some of those is provided in Integration of Mental Health/Substance Abuse and Primary Care, and Behavioral Health/Primary Care Integration.
There are also a number of free screening tools that have been used in primary care to assess for biopsychosocial factors. Below are examples of some of these tools that have been widely used to assess for mental health needs in primary care settings:
