Information for Inbound Personnel:

Military personnel considering or pending assignment to the Des Moines MEPS can find a variety of local information at the following websites. Interservice support agreements exist with the following installations to provide Des Moines MEPS military members with administrative and quality of life services. USMEPCOM does not exercise any control on the content or operation of the sites listed below. (Note: Links will open a new browser window.):

Fort McCoy — (approx. 250 miles from MEPS) Provides finance and personnel support to the Army personnel assigned to the Des Moines MEPS.
Offutt Air Force Base — (approx. 140 miles from MEPS) Offutt Air Force base provides finance and personnel support to the Air Force personnel assigned to the Des Moines MEPS. It is the nearest active component installation in the area. It has all the support facilities normally associated with an installation, i.e. commissary, base exchange, etc.
Rock Island Arsenal — (approx. 175 miles from MEPS) A smaller active component installation with fair sized commissary and post exchange.
