USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah introduced a new partnership, Devex Impact, before nearly 1,000 business, NGO and government leaders at BSR’s 20^th Anniversary Conference, one of the world’s largest and most influential events devoted to sustainable business. 

The Omidyar Network, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced a collaboration to promote impact investing by supporting research, outreach, and other field-building activities undertaken by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). Together the partners have committed $6.5 million to support the GIIN’s work to increase the accessibility of impact investing.

On July 25-26, 2012, the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will host the 2012 Global Diaspora Forum in Washington, DC. An annual celebration of America’s diaspora communities, the forum will focus on the theme “Moving Forward by Giving Back.”

USAID and the mHealth Alliance announced the creation of mPowering Frontline Health Workers, an innovative public‐private partnership designed to improve child health by accelerating the use of mobile technology by millions of health workers around the world.

The mHealth Alliance will coordinate and amplify the  resources and expertise of the partnership’s ten founding members: USAID, UNICEF, Frontline Health Workers Coalition, Qualcomm, Vodafone, Intel, MDG Health Alliance, GlaxoSmithKline, Praekelt Foundation, and Absolute Return for Kids.
