     The Western Regional Medical Command Inspector General (IG) is located in building 9902 of Old MAMC, 2nd floor above Western Region Contracting Office.  We are available to assist staff, their families and patients in providing clarification and guidance on Army Regulations, policies, and procedures.  the office networks with other Inspector General Offices throughout the world to establish facts and resolve issues.  It is preferred that you read the following prior to contacting the IG office:
 
Be sure you have a problem, not just a peeve.
Give our chain of command a chance to solve the problem.
If IG assistance is needed, contact your local IG first.
Be honest and don't provide misleading information.
Keep in mind the IGs are not policy makers.
Keep in mind that IGs can only recommend, not order a resolution.
Remember IGs can only solve a case basis of fact.
Don't expect instant action on your request... Be Patient.
Be prepared to take "NO" for the answer.

     The office of the Inspector General may be contacted via phone, email, fax, and walk-in or by appointment.  In the event we are unavailable to accept your call, 24 hour voicemail  will record your message.  We will return your call as soon as possible.

     If your concern is patient care related, we suggest that you first attempt to resolve the matter through the Patient Advocacy Office located on the ground floor of the Medical Mall, by calling (253) 968-1145, or submit your concern/problem  to the Patient Advocacy Office online.
