OBJECTIVES/DESCRIPTION OF CLERKSHIP:
The Emergency Medicine Clerkship is an intense, hands on clinical rotation geared toward the needs of students and residents at various levels of training. The students become an integral part of the Emergency Care team. Revolving shift work includes days, evenings, nights and weekends will be experienced. Shifts are 9-12 hours long, with varying number per week. The rotation includes weekly lectures covering a broad emergency medicine topics. All students are directly supervised by board certified emergency medicine physicians. Students may be given selected reading assignments and an end of rotation test.
