Far East Activities & Athletics

Far East Activities and Athletics contribute directly to the quality of life and education provided to high school students attending DoD schools. The goal is to DoDEA Pacific offers student-centered activities and athletic events that contribute to a well-rounded educational experience commensurate with attending high school in the U.S. Students from all four DoDEA Pacific districts meet at the conclusion of each season for area-wide competitions, conferences and symposia known as Far East events. Annual Far East athletic tournaments determine the Far East champion for Division 1 (D-1) and Division 2 (D-2) schools in various sports. Far East scholastic activities focus primarily on academic excellence and creative collaboration between students and schools across the Pacific. Far East activities include programs uniquely designed to prepare students for college and career success in many different disciplines such as math, engineering, science, foreign language, and the visual, performing and culinary arts.

Division 1 vs Division 2
Far East Athletics are organized into two divisions based on enrollment: D-1 or D-2.  While D-1 and D-2 schools may compete with each other during the regular season, Far East D-1 and D-2 playoff games and tournament matches are limited to schools within their designated divisions.
