Far East Basketball History
Far East Basketball 1967

Boys Division 1 Basketball is the oldest of all the DoDEA Pacific Far East events, the first being held in 1949.  The Narimasu Dragons of mainland Japan were the 1949 Far East Champions. Girls D2 (at the time Large Schools) tournament was the second of the Far East Basketball tournaments starting in 1976. In 1983 the Boys Small Schools tournament began, now known as Far East D2 Boys Basketball. Girls D2, was the last of the four Far East Basketball tournaments to be established in 1990.

Pictured left is the 1967 Boys Large Schools Far East Champions, the Kubasaki Dragons.
